Facebook | World Economic Forum

In the past few years, Facebook has… how do I put this… been through some shit. (Read: It has faced a lot criticism about its privacy issues and platform moderation.) At the 2019 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the largest social media network wanted to acknowledge their shortcomings and mistakes — and show world leaders that they’re continually working in an effort to be better.

Our mission was to educate visitors on the progress and on-going work to improve safety, security and privacy behind the scenes; plus, remind everyone of all the undeniable good that comes from the communities built on the platform. We designed a sustainable chalet made of eco-friendly and recycled materials and created a look and feel that was human-centric and stat-driven so the proof was easy to take in, no matter where you looked.

A whole dang chalet was built in the Swiss Alps over the Christmas “holidays”. Down-filled, floor-length parkas were purchased. And the ‘Lean In’ author herself said, and I quote, “Awesome — wow!”
